The Level 5 BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Construction and The Built Environment offers students 6 ‘specialist pathways’ designed to support progression into relevant occupational areas or on to degree-level study. These pathways are linked to Professional Body standards and vendor accredited certification (where appropriate) and can provide professional status and progression to direct employment. Units include Group Project, Project Management, Contracts and Management, Management for Complex Buildings, Alternative Methods of Construction, Environmental Assessment & Monitoring, Personal Professional Development

The Level 5 BTEC HND allows you to specialise by committing to specific career paths and progression routes to a top-up at Level 6. In addition, the qualifications may provide links to industry-related and employer-supported apprenticeship schemes that can provide further opportunities for enhanced employability.
On successful completion of the Level 5 BTEC Higher National Diploma, you can develop your career in the construction and the built environment sector through: • Entering employment • Continuing existing employment • Linking with the appropriate vendor accredited certificates • Committing to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) • Progressing to university • Progressing to a higher apprenticeship scheme, in conjunction with progression to a university degree course
