Hastings Functional Skills English Application Course

Study with us and gain a Functional Skills qualification in English. Our Functional Skills courses will help you develop your reading, writing and spoken communication skills, and you will learn how to use these skills effectively in the workplace, further study and everyday life. Please note: this is an examination class.

We offer Functional Skills qualifications from Entry Level to Level 1 at Hastings, and up to Level 2 at Eastbourne and Newhaven. Gaining a Functional Skills qualification can be a stepping stone to many types of education and employment. You should take this course if you intend to study a Level 2 program such as GCSE English Language, or for progression into employment or technical education such as an apprenticeship.
