What will I study?

During this course, you will develop a range of skills, including how to supervise, land and water-based outdoor activities, how to read a map, and lead expeditions. During the two year programme you will gain experience locally and nationally at some of the countries leading activity centres, such, Snowdonia National Park, Peak district, Southdowns, Coockmere and Fairlight Country Park.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Minimum five grade 4-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English and/or maths at grade 4.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by 100% coursework.

What qualification will I achieve?

Once you have completed this course you will be awarded a Level 3 Diploma in Outdoor Adventurous Activities

What can I do after completing this course?

This qualification will give you specialist knowledge and technical skills that will set you up for employment in the industry, such as outdoor and adventurous education centres.

You could also progress to university to study a related degree course.

Are there any extra costs?

You will be required to purchase your own kit and equipment for health and safety reasons and to allow you to gain work experience alongside your course. This cost of this will depend on the individual and we are happy to assist you in the sourcing of the correct equipment.
