This qualification is designed for those in the exercise and fitness sector who wish to complement their existing skills. It is good progression from the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing. During this course you will learn the essential skills and in-depth knowledge you need to be able to put together comprehensive training programmes for clients. You will use your passion for exercise to understand the principles fitness so that you can passion your knowledge to others. You will learn how to conduct fitness testing and learn a range of advanced fitness techniques. Theory and practical sessions will take place in our fully-equipped gym, where you will be able to consult with clients about their fitness goals, and then create and deliver training and fitness programmes to meet their needs. Units you will cover during the course include: •Anatomy and physiology •Exercise and health •Planning and delivering personal training sessions •Principles of nutrition and physical activity •Fitness Testing •Advanced exercise technique •English, maths and IT skills
To achieve the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes of the units as detailed in this qualification specification.
Learners who aren’t successful can resubmit work within the registration period; however, a charge may apply. A partial certificate can be requested for learners who don’t achieve their full qualification but who have achieved at least one whole unit.
