What will I study?

This qualification offers a flexible bank of units that can be tailored into specialised learning packages. It provides learners with transferable skills, engages them with current industry practice, and prepares them to progress onto further qualifications or employment within the automotive industry. Learners will complete this qualification with a concrete understanding of the following:

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English and/or maths at grade 3.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be carried out via written work and practical work within the workshop

What qualification will I achieve?

ABC Level 2 Certificate in Motor Vehicle Studies

What can I do after completing this course?

Successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Motor Vehicle Studies provides a sound preparation for further vocational training, such as continuing onto the ABC Level 2 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Studies or an Apprenticeship at Level 2 or 3 in the motor vehicle industry.

Are there any extra costs?

Students studying on this qualification will need to purchase PPE including overalls and safety boots.
