Collab Group

Collab Group is a forward thinking membership organisation which represents leading UK Colleges and College Groups. Collab Group colleges, in collaboration with others, are transforming the UK economy through the delivery of high-quality technical and professional education.

AOC Beacon Awards

Launched in 1994, the AoC Beacon Awards, aim to highlight the breadth and quality of education in Colleges throughout the UK and increase understanding of Colleges’ contribution to UK educational skills policy and economic and social development. The Awards recognise imaginative and exemplary teaching and learning practice in Colleges and promote and celebrate the FE sector’s commitment to pioneering approaches to equality and diversity.

QAA Quality Marks

The QAA Quality Mark is awarded to higher education providers who are QAA subscribers who have met or exceeded the UK expectations for quality and standards in their recent review by QAA. It communicates to everyone that an institution has a guaranteed minimum level of quality and standards.

European Social Fund

The European Social Fund (ESF) was set up to improve employment opportunities in the European Union and so help raise standards of living. It aims to help people fulfil their potential by giving them better skills and better job prospects.

The British Council

The British Council supports and works collaboratively with education agents and advisors for international students to the UK. Their aim is to facilitate access to the best agents for students, parents and all accredited UK education providers. The agent training programmes are rigorous and highly valued by all of our partners.

English UK Member

English UK is the national association of accredited English language centres. Formed in 2004, with 450 member centres in private schools, educational trusts and charities, further education colleges and universities. All members are accredited under the Accreditation UK scheme in partnership with the British Council.

The Matrix Standard

The Matrix Standard is the unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career. An independent external assessor awards this quality kite mark.

Disability Confident Employer

Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes, behaviour and cultures in their own businesses, networks and communities.

The scheme helps employers:

  • draw from the widest possible pool of talent
  • secure high quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard working
  • improve employee morale and commitment by demonstrating that you treat all employees fairly

It also helps customers and other businesses identify those employers who are committed to equality in the workplace.

Mindful Employer

Established in 2004, Mindful Employer is a UK wide initiative run by Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Providing employers with easier access to professional Workplace Mental Health training, information and support, the initiative aims to help empower employers to take a lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of their staff. By signing the ‘Charter for Employer Positive About Mental Health’, East Sussex College have made a public statement of our desire to support the mental health of our staff across the organisation.

Workplace Mental Health Charter

We are a Mental health Charter Committed employer committed to recognising that Mental Health challenges can be an issue within the workplace and employees may need support talking openly, respectfully and positively about Mental Health, getting the conversation started around Mental Health and recognising we all have Mental Health, just like we have physical health.
