National Colleges Week and the Love Our Colleges campaign aims to recognise the brilliant things that colleges do, day in, day out, to build communities, boost businesses, and support individuals.
Commencing on Monday 9th October, the inaugural week will centre on how colleges contribute to local skills, labour markets, and life opportunities. Each day will revolve around a specific theme aligned with a key sector supported by colleges: Construction, Digital, Green Skills, Health and Social Care, and Hospitality.
The following week, beginning on Monday 16th October, will shift focus to the pivotal role colleges play in bolstering the national economy. It will explore how increased investment in the sector can contribute to enhancing the country's productivity levels.
Throughout Love Our Colleges Week this year, ESC’s social platforms will be sharing positive success stories from alumni, current students and more!
Rebecca Conroy, CEO and Principal at East Sussex College, said, “East Sussex College is proud to once again be part of AOC’s ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign. It's so important to acknowledge the dedication of our students and staff throughout the College, and to recognise the beneficial influence that our brilliant Further Education sector has within our local communities."
