Second-year Business students attended the Houses of Parliament and were joined by local MP Caroline Ansell, who met the students in the workshop and gave an insight into the workings of being an MP.
As part of the workshop, students were given a tour of both the House of Lords and the House of Commons, and watched debates and committee hearings. Following the workshop, students also had the opportunity to explore London in their free time before the trip back to East Sussex!
Debbie Ward, Business Lecturer at East Sussex College Eastbourne, said, “Students found this experience extremely interesting and felt it placed value to their course. It was also an amazing opportunity to visit one of the world's most famous buildings and find out about the work of the UK Parliament.”
