College Open Events Return

East Sussex College Open Events

East Sussex College opens its doors to prospective students next week as Open Events return for the first time since before lockdown.

Prospective students, currently in Year 10 and 11, are invited into the college, for the first time since before lockdown, to find out more about the courses available, meet staff and current students, and get a feel of the campuses.

If you’re interested in finding out more about A-Level, Vocational, or T-Level courses then make sure you come along to the college’s open events on the dates below. The events will be running between 4.30pm and 7.00pm - you can arrive whenever you wish during this time.

Lewes campus will welcome visitors on 13th and 14th October, Hastings on 20th and 21st October and the Eastbourne events will take place on 3rd and 4th November.

Visitors will be able to talk to subject tutors about their courses, tour the campus and find out about things including Additional Learning Support and student finance. The events are perfect for anyone thinking about their next steps after secondary school. What’s more, at the same time, the Higher Education department will open its doors, enabling adult learners to find out more about studying degree courses at East Sussex College.

The Open Events follow the college’s virtual offer, ‘ESC Live & On Demand’, during lockdown. Nothing beats seeing somewhere in person, so ESC is incredibly excited to be able to welcome students and their families through the college doors once again.

Rebecca Conroy, CEO at East Sussex College, said, “This is an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking about developing in their education to come and find out more, talk to our expert tutors, and see why studying with us is a really attractive option. Our courses range from academic subjects to Vocational qualifications, including new T-Levels, so we’re confident there is something for everyone here. All of our incredibly talented team, including tutors and support staff, are highly experienced, dedicated, and with you every step of the way.”

The College politely ask that you only attend the open events if:

  • You have not tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days, or continue to experience any symptoms

  • Have not come into contact with anyone in the past 14 day who has experienced symptoms of Covid-19

  • You are not currently isolating for any reason

  • You do not have any of the symptoms associated with Covid-19

  • All visitors are also requested to complete a Lateral Flow test prior to visiting the campuses.
