ESCG Live Lounge Returns

Ian Schofield

Music and Media students from East Sussex College Eastbourne are working hard this week (28th June - 2nd July) recording a range of musicians for the second series of ESCG Live Lounge.

ESCG Live Lounge is a platform for artists to showcase their talent and also an opportunity for students to master their skills as musicians, engineers, producers, videographers, editors and more.

Students from the UAL Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production, FDA Music Production and Creative Recording and BA Music Production and Creative Recording courses, are working closely together throughout the week. They are using the industry-standard music facilities on campus, to record, mix and master talented musicians from within the college and wider community.

They are working with students from the UAL Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology courses who are filming and editing ESCG Live Lounge ready for release.
These students are not only recording the new footage, they are also training the new recruits and handing over the duties to the new ESCG Live Lounge team for 2021/2022.

Matt Kemp, Head of Creative Studies at East Sussex College Eastbourne, says, “ESCG Live Lounge is a fantastic platform for students to showcase their work. Level 3 students work with our Degree students, making it a really inclusive project across all our Creative Media and Music courses. The students have worked so hard to make this event possible. We really hope people enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed making it.”

Check out the season two teaser this Friday 2 July at 7pm for behind-the-scenes footage and on Tuesday 6 July at 4pm for the first ESCG Live Lounge, season two.
