From College to Cabin Crew: Frankie’s Journey to Virgin Atlantic

East Sussex College alumna Frankie Sloan first studied Air Cabin Crew before gaining valuable experience in the College’s Marketing team - she later pursued her dream career, joining Virgin Atlantic as part of their Air Cabin Crew!

Frankie always dreamed of taking to the skies as part of an airline cabin crew, and her journey started at East Sussex College’s Hastings campus.

“The course at ESC was fantastic! The tutors were so supportive, and the facilities really gave us a taste of what it would be like working in the airline industry. It made me even more excited to pursue my dream career.”

After studying at the College between September 2012 and June 2013, Frankie gained valuable experience by joining the College’s marketing team. Working behind the scenes in a busy environment helped her develop confidence, communication skills, and professionalism - all essential qualities for a career in the airline industry.

“Working in marketing at the College was a great experience. I learned so much about teamwork, communication, and working under pressure, which are all skills I know will help me in my new role as cabin crew.”

But her dream of becoming cabin crew never faded, and when the opportunity came to join Virgin Atlantic, she took the leap. Now, she’s preparing to fly around the world, meeting new people every day, and ensuring passengers have the best experience in the air.

“I can’t wait to get started! Being part of Virgin Atlantic is a dream come true, and I’m so excited to travel, meet new people, and do a job I love.”
