The Barber Bash crew provided Level 2, Level 3 and Adult Barbering and Hairdressing students across Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes an insight into the latest trends and trade secrets from the world of barbering. Four models with differing hairstyles were given haircuts as the crew demonstrated various techniques and provided top tips.
Employers, including local barbers in industry, were also in attendance and this provided an excellent opportunity for industry colleagues to see what GBBB has to offer. Furthermore, employers were also given an insight into the courses that the College delivers in barbering and how they might be able to aid the progress of our learners with the offer of work experience and industry placements.
All those that attended the spectacle received a goody bag from OSMO and had the opportunity to purchase some of the products and equipment displayed on stage, alongside some GBBB merchandise!
Allan Hyatt, Deputy Head of Curriculum at East Sussex College, said, “This event was an amazing opportunity for students to watch a live demonstration from the country’s leading Barbers, enriching their knowledge of modern trends and bridging the gap between college and the industry.
“We have huge connections with industry specialists that will deliver the latest trending techniques and fashion, we have an excellent kit for students to study with that is sponsored by the Great British Barbers Bash.”
