Hair and Beauty Students Dazzle

At the end of March students from Sussex Downs College studying hair, beauty and media make up wowed audience members at their annual showcase. With an ‘Under the Sea’ theme, students were instructed to create looks which showed off their talents, but adhered to a specific brief. The excitement was hard to contain as the buzz of creative talent filled the room. On the catwalk, models sported oceanic body art, mermaid-inspired makeup and turquoise colour schemes.

The night’s fantasy theme pushed the 60 students who participated to step out of their comfort zone to create unusual and beautiful looks in a realistic busy environment.

The show culminated with an awards presentation where Ruby Sisley won the Hairdressing Level 2 award, Etsko Hara won the Hairdressing Level 3 award, Lorraine Rawlings won the Level 2 Beauty Award and Madeline Meads won the coveted makeup award.
