Historic Sussex Hotels spa operations manager, Mike Coppin, visited Sussex Downs College Lewes campus last week (May 3rd) for an interactive day with Level 3 Beauty Therapy students.
A talk on potential careers within the industry was given to the students, followed by mock interviews, where students were asked typical questions about their abilities, specific to spa skills.
Course tutor, Emma Hartup said of the event, ‘The day was very helpful in assisting students to become work ready. Students came away with a better understanding of all the opportunities that are out there after they complete their course’.
Sussex Downs College offers a number of Hair and Beauty courses for both part-time and full-time study. The Level 3 Beauty Therapy course includes lessons on essential skills needed in many complimentary therapy careers, such as: massage, stone therapy, Indian head massage and client care and communication.
