The show takes over the Lewes campus later this month as student work is showcased in the main reception, foyer, multi-purpose hall and art studios. A special Media Screening is also set to take place at the nearby Depot Cinema.
Andrew Williamson, Head of Curriculum for Creative Industries at ESC Lewes, says, “This year has been difficult for both staff and students but the quality of work and the high levels of achievement and progression to HE and into industry shows that students and tutors have continued to work hard, providing the very best outcomes for students.”
The show, made up of first- and second-year student work, is a celebration of achievements during an extremely difficult year. The Lewes campus has numerous accolades, including continued success in the prestigious Royal Opera House Design Challenge, Young Landscape Photographer of the Year winner, an exhibition of student work at the Jubilee Library during Brighton Festival, and collaborative projects with Human Nature, Culture Shift and Phileas Fogg World of Adventures. Students have also had the opportunity to help film live coverage and interviews during the UEFA Euros, and produce VR tours of work environments for students of SEND schools (Special Educational Needs & DIsabilities). The end-of-year show is a celebration of all this and more.
The show runs Tuesday 22 June to Friday 25 June, with a private view on Tuesday evening (6-8pm) and a special Media Screening event at the nearby Depot Cinema on Wednesday 23 June (12-3pm).
Please come along and support the fantastic achievements of the students during an incredibly challenging year. There is no need to book but please maintain social distancing and wear a face covering when visiting the college.
