Since leaving the College, Harry has thrived in the musical theatre industry with numerous prestigious roles, including his appearance in Saturday Night Fever. Harry’s latest venture sees him feature in the world-renowned theatre musical of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, where he will play the character ‘Cedric’
Speaking to the College about his brand-new role in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Harry said, “I met up with my agent in person and then he told me I’d made the cast [for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child]. It was a shock! I felt very relieved when I found out and also a feeling of not having to worry about work over the next year.
“This is my West End debut, so I genuinely can’t wait to get started! I’m also excited to perform at the Palace Theatre. The process is very full on with workouts everyday to get us in shape. They also have to teach us the magic alongside the scene work and movement.”
He added, “I’m not the best for giving advice but I would always say work hard and don’t let the downs in your career affect the love for what you’re doing. The highs are amazing, but the lows can be rough - so always remember why you do this amazing job!”
Harry spoke to the College in 2022 following his ventures in the Saturday Night Fever Musical. Speaking about his time at the College, he said, “My time at ESC Lewes was great and is probably where I found my passion for theatre and acting. I also made friends for life who are in drama school now. Of course, I would recommend ESC Lewes and it looks like it’s moved forward even more since I left.”
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, featuring the new West End cast, including Harry, is scheduled for 17 October 2023. You can book your tickets here.
