The week-long visit saw 30 students immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of one of Europe’s most iconic cities. From exploring historic landmarks to enjoying beachside volleyball games, the itinerary offered a rich blend of learning and leisure.
A major highlight of the trip was attending a live La Liga football match, where the group witnessed FC Barcelona claim a thrilling victory over Girona. Students also had the opportunity to take an immersive tour of the Nou Camp stadium, gaining a deeper understanding of the club’s world-renowned legacy.
To further their knowledge of global sport, the group visited the Olympic Museum, where they explored Barcelona’s legacy as host of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games and its lasting impact on international sport and culture.
Adam Nichols, Deputy Head of Curriculum for Public Services at East Sussex College Hastings, said:
“This international experience reflects East Sussex College’s ongoing commitment to providing students with meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange, global awareness, and experiential learning.”
