The best of ESC at Home

The best of ESC at Home

For the past few weeks, we’ve all been working from home. It’s a different and challenging way of working, but two things we can definitely take from this is that we’ll come out the other side with a different perspective on the world and a load of new skills!

People have been turning to gardening, baking their own bread, and even attempting to cut their own hair, but thanks to our incredibly talented tutors we’ve been creating delicious meals, keeping fit and making our own beauty products.

We’ve launched ESC at Home on our YouTube channel (check it out) and wanted to share our five favourites in a blog.

1, Workout with Plaza Fitness

Since working from home was introduced, our Station Plaza Gym team have been keeping us fit with daily workouts streamed live to Facebook and Instagram. There have been several sessions, but our favourite is this all body work out led by Gilberto.

This 30-minute video will work your entire body and is the perfect way to get the blood pumping and help you start the day.

Keep an eye on @stationplazafitness for more workouts

2, Cooking with Jon

Our Catering tutor Jon has been cooking up a storm with lots of videos on Facebook. Everything from curries to meatballs, but the pick of the bunch is his easy poached egg breakfast. Poaching an egg is feared by many, but if you follow Jon’s secret tip, you’ll get it right every time. It’s a quick and easy meal, packed with protein - perfect after a workout!

See more of Jon’s videos on our ESC at Home playlist.

3, Make-up with Celina

You may not be going out as much, but if you’re keen to keep up with your beauty routine then our Make-Up Artistry tutor Celina will show you how to apply elegant but straightforward everyday make-up.

Looking good in lockdown has never been easier.

4, Relax with Zoe

Maintaining and improving your wellbeing during these strange and unprecedented times is so important. Our Public Services tutor Zoe is a mindfulness expert and has some handy tips to help you relax. If you’re feeling a little anxious or overwhelmed then this video will help.

Check out Zoe’s Facebook page for more mindfulness goodness.

5, Pamper with Andrea

We all have a little more time on our hands, so why not spend it taking care of ourselves? Our Beauty tutor Andrea has been showing us how to make body scrubs using some basic ingredients that we can find in our cupboards. Who knew making exfoliating scrubs could be so easy?
