The twins have had many high profile ventures throughout their careers, both during and after studying at ESC Lewes. The pair have featured in music videos and high profile roles in the theatre and acting industry, including a recent IKEA advert.
Almayra and Iman took centre stage in their recent venture, emerging as key figures in the opening showcase of London Fashion Week on 15th September. The event showcased a multitude of big-name stars, including Caitriona Balfe and Jared Leto to name a few. Following their involvement in the opening of such a prestigious event, Almayra and Iman took to social media to express their thanks for such an incredible experience.
Almayra said, “Kick-started London Fashion Week for Stella McCartney x Net-A-Porter at the Box Soho. [We] worked with some incredible actors and an amazing team. Special thanks to Oliver Lynes who directed us and made every rehearsal one to remember.”
Iman also stated, “London Fashion Week Stella McCartney X Net-A-Porter. What an incredible team and cast I got to work with for this memorable experience!”
Earlier in the year, the double act spoke to the College about their studies and subsequent careers in the industry.
“I didn’t realise the benefits [of college, at the time] like boosting your confidence and developing your social skills,” said Almayra. “It’s also working towards something you want to do in the future - in our case, full-time acting. The College helps you pave a path to get into the industry. It’s the perfect stepping stone. I’d 100% recommend East Sussex College to others!”
Iman added, “College was great and so helpful when we had [acting] jobs to go to, because they helped us find ways to get our college work done and all the coursework. That was so important because we were kind of freaking out as we’d have out of college work on set dates, but everyone was helpful and understanding.”
