East Sussex College Hastings Station Plaza campus

Did you know international students from across the world can study for degrees and other Higher Education courses at East Sussex College? East Sussex College offers a growing range of Higher Education courses from Higher National Diplomas/Certificates to full Bachelor’s degrees.

East Sussex College has exceptional facilities that support the wide-range of award-winning courses on offer to international and Higher Education students. The state-of-the-art Station Plaza campus in Hastings houses modern equipment, including Mac computers, studio projectors and printers, ensuring that students have access to the latest technology for their academic studies.

International and Higher Education students can take advantage of the small class sizes, ensuring that students benefit from a student-centred environment. Students have the exciting opportunity to participate in enjoyable team days and activities, creating a wonderful chance to create close friendships with their classmates. These events provide a fun and interactive platform for students to come together and foster friendships. All students can also take advantage of the on-campus Costa Coffee service!

International students at East Sussex College enjoy a dedicated fifth floor, exclusively designed for their academic studies. This floor provides an environment for focused study, collaboration and engagement. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources, it ensures that international students have a supportive and productive space to work.

Earlier this month, international students, Cristina Hunteann-Palade and Garvish Ramdoyle gave an insight into life studying at the Hastings University Centre. From amazing facilities to expert lecturers and a stunning location, this is a university like no other.

Following a tour of the campus, Garvish who has just completed his BA (Hons) Visual Communication in Graphic Design, shared his thoughts with the college.

Garvish Ramdoyle“I was looking for a small class setting, one-to-one attention from my lecturer and access to many facilities to practise. ESC met all those preferences, so I chose to go for it. One of the best things about studying Graphic Design here is the facilities on offer. Just for example – the print room and library. Also, having the ability to come in to work on my projects whilst having enough support from my peers and tutors.”

Garvish added, “Personally, I made a really good choice studying here, considering how the college helps me to develop my skills and enrich my knowledge. I would definitely recommend anyone to come and study at East Sussex College.”

Cristina, who studies BA (Hons) Visual Communication Through Illustration, said, “[Studying at ESC is] really worth it, it’s not like normal school. You do what you love and you are supported by experienced tutors in different fields. You can also collaborate with students from other courses. Tutors are like-minded, the atmosphere is relaxing and creativity is encouraged!

Cristina Hunteann-Palade“I chose to study at ESC as it’s really close to home, fees are lower and I was assisted by university to enrol into the course, [and there are] so many facilities to use! [In the future] I plan to do an MA in illustration as well, but before that I’m going to apply for residency! I want to illustrate book covers and work on comic books!”

The other Art degrees include: Animation Arts & Visual Effects, Designer Maker, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography.
