This experientially taught course will explore a range of interpersonal and counseling skills using some key concepts from the counseling world. You will gain valuable transferable skills, such as listening and communication, knowledge of self-development, and an understanding of how prejudices and value judgments impact our everyday life. As some aspects of course content and activities are unsuitable for students under 18, you will need to be 19 or older at the start of the academic year..
The course offers continual assessment from tutor and peers. Your final assessment is via a portfolio consisting of skills feedback, self-assessment and a learning journal.
Once you have completed this course you will achieve an NCFE Level 1 Award in Interpersonal Skills.
Once you have finished this course, you could move onto counsellor training or progress to our Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. Alternatively, you will gain valuable transferable skills in the workplace.
