This 8-week evening course is ideal if you are interested in floristry and want to further your skills. You will learn how to make gift wrapped bouquets , buttonholes, flower crowns, wristlets, and tied bouquets suitable for weddings and gifts, plus other designs for all occasions including sympathy arrangement. What will I study?

Have you ever wished you could create beautiful flower arrangements for family's birthdays and special occasions? On this course, you will learn how to use flowers and colours together using simple techniques to help create beautiful floral designs. the couse is designed to be fun and flexible to accommodate your specific interests. You will need to provide your own materials at an estimated cots of £8-£10 per week.

How will I be assessed?

You will be able to take your own photos to create your own portfolio. You will be given individual verbal feedback as well as self and peer evaluations. After the practical work is completed there will be feedback by way of group assessment and discussion.

What qualification will I achieve?

There is no qualification for this course. A college certificate of attendance is available for students who attend 80% or more.

What can I do after completing this course?

Progression onto other floristry courses.

Are there any extra costs?

The cost of flowers and sundries are not included in the course fees. You will need to provide their own materials at an estimated cost of £8-£10 per week.

Additional Info

On the first week, you will need to bring a selection of small flowers and foliage , plus scissors or secateurs, you may also want to write notes.
