Adult Level 2 Hairdressing Full Diploma

This Level 2 Hairdressing diploma has been specifically designed to help you start a new career in hairdressing.

You learn a range of skills and develop your competencies in hairdressing so that you are able to work with clients within the first six weeks of your 10-month training.

You will use your passion and artistic flair to becoming a great stylist. You will love working closely with customers and be willing to gain good customer service attributes, be punctual and organised.

You will learn in our Evolve Eco hair and Beauty salon and buy into our ethos as a sustainable hair salon. We recycle where possible and use environmentally friendly products that are never tested on animals. Our hair colours are ammonia free and naturally based.

This course is a full diploma and features different pathways depending on your needs and career goals. All pathways have continuous support to ensure your success.

Modules and pathways include:

• Working in the hair industry
• Follow health and safety in the salon
• Client consultation for hair services
• Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
• Promote products and services to clients in a salon
• Cut Women's hair
• Colour and Lighten hair
• Perm and neutralise hair
• The Art of Dressing hair
• Create an image based on a theme
• Plaiting and Twisting.

You will be assessed through written assignments, exams and practical observations.

Once you have completed this course you will achieve a full Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing. This qualification will make you more employable in comparison with completing a smaller certificate qualification.

You have a number of options available after the course. You may wish to continue studying, in which case progression onto a Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is perfect. You may also look for employment as a hairstylist.

Kit and uniform are compulsory to attend this course. This needs to be purchased before the start of the course and is in the range of a total of £250.00 for both uniform and kit. Bursaries may be available, but this would be as a refund.

The course will be delivered by an experienced industry specialist who still works in the hairdressing industry.

All lecturers are passionate about delivering a fast paced, exciting and fun packed learning environment.

The college is based in the heart of Lewes and has free on site parking for all students.

This course runs on a Wednesday between 9.30am and 2.30pm.
