East Sussex College Eastbourne
music academy
The Eastbourne Music Performance and Production Academy is a unique place to learn about music performance and production. We guarantee the very highest quality of teaching in our state of the art production and performance spaces. We offer a broad range of musical experiences that will prepare you for the next stage of your musical career – whatever you hope that that might be.
We are constantly reaching out to work with new partners, all of whom are of the very highest quality. We offer a unique range of activities which are linked to the music industry and wider creative industries, working with professional musicians, engineers, producers, arrangers and writers from high-profile organisations.
Our intention is that this will continue to develop into the future as we continue to grow and evolve.
This is a great time to be coming to us. In the last few years we have seen impressive results coming from all our courses and, as expected, we ensure we work with industry-standard equipment used by professionals in the industry.
We have eight professional recording studios boasting equipment from SSL, TL Audio, Warm Audio, UA Audio, Focusrite (RedNet) along with various mics from Neumann, AKG, Shure, Earthworks and Sennheiser.
We have recently invested in a RedNet system which enables us to work across various spaces within our department through network. This is where industry has moved so it is vital that we train you on these complex and cutting-edge techniques.
“Our department supports the development of musicians, producers and engineers to find their strengths and develop their portfolio. We have a wide range of lecturers and tutors who will help you develop your skills and generate professional work. The department and its qualifications have a strong focus on community and collaboration – vital for the industry and success. It is often the case that students from different levels are working together to produce work and simulate/practice that real-world working environment.”
