"2019 has been a busy year for me!"

Since completing my HND in Health & Social Care at the Hastings campus last year I’ve been studying a top-up degree in Health Studies at Brighton University and got a job as a Deputy Care Home Manager. This summer I won the bronze medal in the BTEC Awards 2019 for Child and Social Care Student of the Year! Oh, and I have also just had baby number four!

It was an honour to be nominated by Wendy and Kate at the college. Passing the course was amazing in itself and such a life changing experience, so to be nominated and to win an award is unbelievable.

I hope that my award inspires others to achieve their dreams and shows nothing is impossible . This award is not only for myself but also represents the amazing work the tutors at East Sussex College do on a daily basis. The course really does change people’s lives .

My family are super proud of my award, which is great!
