Course Description

Ideal for those with limited money and allows students free time to enjoy other activities.

The 15 hours General English includes grammar and vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing, plus a weekly tutorial to check your progress and let you know what’s happening in the college and local area. (Lewes and Eastbourne only).

This course does not run at the Eastbourne and Hastings campuses during the Summer because of the Young Learner Summer School.

All work placements offered are on a voluntary unpaid basis and you must be 16 years old or over.

If you wish to work for a month or less positions will be in either a charity or coffee shop which offer excellent opportunties to practice your spoken English on members of the public.

If you are available for a month or longer there are a greater range of opportunities available in areas such as:

- Hospitality & Catering (Hotels)

- Sales & Retail

- Human Resources
