Our aim is to help our students navigate the barriers they may face in their progression, enabling them to make a well-informed choice for their future.
The team members are Level 6 qualified advisors, with many years of experience providing impartial CEIAG (Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance).
We have strong relationships with local widening participation teams and careers networks. We work collaboratively with local schools, alternative education providers, colleges, and community programmes to support transition into Further and Higher Education. A well-established Peer Coach programme provides East Sussex College learners with study support and revision coaching for local Year 11 students.
The Go Further Team alongside our Peer Coaches have developed online support platforms on Instagram and YouTube with emphasis on build a community of students and alumni who support and share information with each other.

...that recruited and trained 70 students from a variety of different curriculum areas across Eastbourne/Lewes/Hastings. These students provide study skills support 1:1 or group basis to other students from their curriculum area. A particular success has seen the Peer Coaches supporting learners resitting their GCSE Maths and English qualifications which are now an essential for progression.
The Peer coach role is a paid dual role that also requires students to support key college events and to support learners transitioning from school to college life.

Over the last two years we have seen 320 1:1 progression support sessions with Liaison Coaches who are L6 careers qualified or currently working towards the qualification.
