ESCG BOARD
membership vacancy news
What difference will you make?
There are a range of organisations and stakeholders with a personal, professional, civic or financial interest in the welfare and success of a college and its learners. We are very keen to have new members from the local business economy, the local public sector and the voluntary, community and social sector.
What's in it for the volunteer?
Being a Governor or Co-opted Member is an enriching, voluntary role, and this is a particularly exciting time to be involved with East Sussex College. As a Governor or Co-opted Member, you will make an invaluable contribution to the development of excellence in East Sussex College. As a member of the governing board, you will set the mission and strategic direction of the college, and scrutinise its performance.
Volunteering as a Governor or Co-opted Member is a great way to contribute to your local community, meet new people and improve the lives of local young people. You will develop transferrable skills and learn more about the education system whilst putting existing skills and experience to good use!
Before you apply
The application process will be to send a CV and expression of interest for consideration by the Board's Search, Performance & Remuneration Committee. We currently have vacancies for Independent Governors on the Board and the expression of interest form has been provided below.
To find out more about how you could support the college, please refer to the Governor and Co-opted Governor role descriptions and person specification and contact:
