Some of you may thrive under exam conditions, others of you may be terrified by the very thought. However, for this month’s Five of the Best we wanted to put a smile on your face and give you a light-hearted look at some of the funniest answers to exam questions.
Disclaimer: Try to avoid using the following answers. They will not score you any points.
You will almost certainly come across this question in your GCSE maths paper. The mathematicians amongst you will probably work this out instantly, but for some of us, it takes a little longer.
This person obviously got fed up with trying to work it out and gave the literal answer. Haven’t we all wanted to do this?
Exam papers were never supposed to get too deep. If you’re sitting a Biology paper, then the chances are you don’t need to go off on a tangent and become philosophical.
Otherwise, you may end up like the first cells, lonely. You’ll also then feel sad because you’ve missed out on marks which may have bumped your grade up.
The next two answers made us laugh a little more than they should have! 1896 starts as 1895 ends and the Founding Fathers did sign the declaration at the bottom.
However, History exams are trying to tease out your understanding and knowledge of historical events. Not the answers above.
It’s really important to remember what the exam paper you’re sitting. If this was an art exam we’re sure the student would have done quite well.
However, with this being a Geography exam, it was testing their knowledge of world flags, not the chequered flag at the end of F1.
