Modern foreign languages
Sussex Downs College alumni, Izzi Howell, Bel Bale and Maddi Considine recently (17th April) visited the Eastbourne campus to give current leaners a talk about the importance of learning a modern foreign language and the impact it has had on their lives.
Today’s students heard how Izzi Howell did a joint Honours in French & Spanish and is now an editor at a publishing company which produces fact books for children. Particularly enlightening and informative was Bel Bale’s presentation. She is now studying Human, Social and Political Science at Pembrook College, Cambridge. Maddi Considine works as a mentor at Willingdon School and will be going to Sussex University in September to study Psychology and French.
The presentations went over well with current learners, boosting their own confidence and giving them plenty to think about with regards to their own futures.
