Automotive Training Centre Hosts Inspiring Employer Event

East Sussex College's Automotive Training Centre (ATC) in Hastings welcomed industry leaders and students for a dynamic Employer & Industry Engagement Event earlier this week.

The event, featuring Block Automotive Limited, offered a glimpse into the future of the automotive industry while showcasing the cutting-edge training available at Hastings ATC.

Block Automotive, known for its innovative and engaging teaching equipment, shared its mission to inspire the next generation of automotive engineers. Industry representatives, including local independent garages, franchise businesses, and main dealers, gathered to explore advancements in automotive technology and how ATC is equipping learners to thrive in this rapidly evolving sector.

Students were given an opportunity to engage with groundbreaking technology, including a fully operational hydrogen vehicle, a sectioned hydrogen fuel cell, and state-of-the-art electric and hybrid vehicle training equipment. They also networked with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights and connections to support their future careers.

Nicholas Wood, Deputy Head of Motor Vehicle at East Sussex College, highlighted the significance of the event: "This event proved to be valuable for the whole of the ATC Team and Andy Davy from our Board of Governors, opening our eyes to the future of the automotive industry and how we must adapt.
