Following her studies at ESC, Chloe is now working as a Health Care Assistant in a busy A&E department and is working on completing her Care Certificate, and local A&E skills and competencies. Her ultimate ambition is to work as a Paramedic.
Chloe has a place at University for September 2024 on a paramedic Course, however she is also considering a Paramedic apprenticeship route through the NHS trust where she is currently employed.
"I love working in A&E, every day is different and I'm getting lots of experience,” said Chloe. “I feel really supported. When I started I had a month shadowing others supernumerary to settle in.”
Speaking on her T-Level course at East Sussex College, Chloe said, “I enjoyed the T-Level course [at East Sussex College]. The placements during the course gave me a variety of experiences. I went to a Cardiac Ward, Theatres, worked in Physiotherapy and with the Dieticians.
“The Placements helped me see what career direction I wanted to follow. On placement I was able to see in practice and apply the knowledge I had learnt."
