The book ‘Colour Your English!’ integrates colouring with traditional language exercises, focusing on real-life settings. Each of the 12 chapters covers a different town location, helping students practise listening, speaking, and vocabulary. The interactive colouring activity boosts recall while enhancing speaking confidence and fluency.
Following the book's publication, Stephanie says, “I always planned to write a book one day, but I never thought it would be a colouring book! I'm honoured to be nominated for such a prestigious award and am looking forward to when the results are announced at the ELTons Festival of Innovation in London in November.”
Stephanie developed the concept for ‘Colour Your English!’ over 10 years, trialling it with her students at East Sussex College. The book’s illustrations, based on locations in Lewes, were created by her childhood best friend, Amy Alton Bautz, a fine art professor.
Stephanie also writes materials and blogs for materials website Linguahouse.com.
