The awards celebrate young artists from East Sussex, offering them a taste of the professional art world beyond school or college. The awards took place this November at Farley’s Gallery.
The awards were presented by Anthony Penrose, son of renowned artists Lee Miller and Roland Penrose, alongside Joe Hill, Director of Towner Art Gallery.

Matthew Kemp, Head of Curriculum for the Creative Industries at East Sussex College, praised the students, saying, “We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements at the Farley Arts Trust Awards. Their hard work, talent, and creativity has shone through, and this recognition is a fantastic step into the professional art world. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!”
