This collaboration will create valuable opportunities for students at the College - particularly those studying sport, media, and business - to gain hands-on experience with one of the town’s most established football clubs.

From supporting match day media and promotional content to helping with coaching, fitness, and events, the partnership will give students a chance to apply their skills in a real-world setting while contributing to the growth and success of the club. It also opens up the potential for player development and shared facilities in the future.

Rebecca Conroy, CEO and Principal of East Sussex College, said, "We’re delighted to be working more closely with Eastbourne Town FC. This partnership represents a shared commitment to providing young people in the town with inspiring opportunities both on and off the pitch. It’s a fantastic example of how we can join forces to support local talent and ambition."

Chairman at Eastbourne Town Football Club, Dave Shearing, commented, “This partnership marks a positive step forward in our commitment to community engagement and youth development. Collaborating with East Sussex College allows us to strengthen our ties with the local area and support the next generation both on and off the pitch.”

James Hopkins, Commercial Manager at Eastbourne Town Football Club, said, “We’re delighted to be working with East Sussex College – a forward-thinking institution that shares our passion for community, opportunity, and development. This partnership opens doors for students to gain hands-on experience in sport, events, and business, while helping us continue to grow Eastbourne Town as a vibrant and inclusive local club.”

Eastbourne Town FC, founded in 1881, is one of the oldest football clubs in the country and has a strong track record of supporting grassroots football in East Sussex. The club shares the College’s values of inclusion, teamwork, and nurturing individual potential.

With the new season just around the corner, both East Sussex College and Eastbourne Town are looking forward to working together to create meaningful opportunities for students, players, and the wider community.
