The event featured an impressive display of classic cars and motorcycles, live demonstrations, student projects, carnival activities and the debut of the new “Petrol & Pooches” dog show.

Thanks to the generosity of visitors, vehicle entrants and supporters, the event raised an incredible £1,053.99 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice, taking the total amount raised by the show to more than £4,000 over the past two years.
Mark Streeter, Deputy Head of Curriculum for Construction & Motor Vehicle at East Sussex College, said: “The Cars & Motorcycles Show has become a real highlight in our calendar, and it was fantastic to see so many people from across the community join us on the day. Every year the event grows bigger and better, and that's only possible because of the incredible support we receive from exhibitors, volunteers, staff, and visitors.
“We're especially proud that, while providing a great day out for families and vehicle enthusiasts, the event also raises vital funds for a charity that means so much to our local community. To have raised more than £1,000 this year and over £4,000 across the last two events is a huge achievement.”

In a letter thanking the College for its support, Michelle Mitchell, Community Fundraiser at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, highlighted the impact the donation will have on local people and families.
She said: “Thank you for your generous gift of £1053.99, from your annual Car & Bike show at the college, which will help more people to live well until the end of their lives.
“At a time when the cost of our care is higher than our income, your generosity is more important than ever. It means that our expert teams can continue to support the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual and practical needs of patients and their families and carers.
“Many thanks again for your support, it is greatly appreciated.”
The event continues to go from strength to strength, with this year’s show proving to be the biggest, sunniest, and most successful yet.
East Sussex College would like to thank everyone who attended, exhibited, volunteered and supported the event, helping to make a difference for St Wilfrid’s Hospice and the people it cares for across East Sussex.
