Archie White is a prime example of how there is no cut-off point to learning and developing your skills. The 96-year-old studied a Fine Art degree at East Sussex College and became one of the UK’s oldest graduates.
Another impressive case study, showcasing the positives of studying into your adult years, is Jo Geering, who despite already owning a salon, decided to return to college to complete her Level 4 Salon Management qualification. Jo has now seen her work published in blog form on a leading industry website, the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF).
David Fowler, head of Higher Education at East Sussex College, said, “This is an excellent opportunity for anyone thinking about starting a degree to find out more about our adult courses and see why studying with us is a really attractive option.
“We offer lots of different degree courses with fantastic support and really great success rates, so you don’t have to worry if you’ve been out of education for a little while, or if you have other commitments while you study.
“If, over the past few months, you’ve decided to change your career goals or you want to retrain or re-skill, then our degrees can open up so many opportunities for you, not just in the local area, but nationally and internationally.”
