
The Kings Restaurant at East Sussex College Eastbourne hosted a buffet lunch on Monday 9th March to celebrate International women’s Day. Inspirational women from the world of business, including alumni Kaiya Swain (award-winning Beauty Therapist and owner of Kaiya Rose Beauty) and Katie Jones (Designer, Katie Jones Knit) attended as ‘Role models’ to talk to current students about their careers.
Guest included Jo Rogers, Chair of Eastbourne Board; Annie Wills, Head of Tourism and Enterprise for Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council, who talked about Service Industries opportunities in the town. Kerry Mizen, Life Events Team Leader, spoke about changing careers, and former ESC Hospitality and Catering Manager, Christina Cavallari, shared her insight into setting up businesses in different countries.
