Last week, Caroline visited the College and spoke to ESOL students about what a UK MP does, an overview of the Governmental system and took part in a Q&A session. Following a tour of the campus, she then had a sandwich lunch and chatted with A-Level Politics students.
Mark Allen, Assistant Principal for International & ESOL at East Sussex College, said, “Caroline Ansell's visit was a significant moment for our ESOL students to meet a Member of Parliament. Caroline engaged with ESOL learners, providing insights into the UK's political landscape, and inviting questions from the students.
“She then sat with A-Level Politics students to talk about her work in Government. Her visit not only taught students about government and democracy but also sparked a strong interest in civic education, leaving a lasting impression on their understanding."
