Colombo 16, a local Sri Lankan restaurant in St Leonards, will be coming to the College’s Hastings campus to host a pop-up event and work with students on Wednesday 27th March.
The restaurant will donate their time to support students and expose them to talented people in the industry - an opportunity to learn a variety of different cuisines! Students can also use this opportunity to prove themselves in front of potential employers.
Coast Restaurant Manager, Jakki Pransky, said, “I think that it’s really fantastic that local, independent restaurants are donating their time and expertise to give the students a different experience to what we can offer them, as well as exposing them to different world cuisines. It’s also an opportunity for the students to really shine in front of potential employers, or at the very least find a place they might like to fulfil their work experience requirement.”
