Popular faces - and voices - from the media answer students’ questions as Eastbourne Youth Radio’s flagship show returned
East Sussex College sponsored the Meet the Media programme on Thursday 14th November at midday. Students from schools across Eastbourne were invited into the studio to pose questions to a panel of media professionals.
Meet the Media is one of EYR’s flagship shows, and this year proved as popular as ever, as the college welcomed Simon Jenkins, Senior Broadcast Journalist for BBC Sussex; Hanna Neter, Heart FM newsreader; Dan Gasser, Radio X DJ; Lynsey Bartlett, newspaper columnist, and Rik Scott, voiceover artist.
Following the show, Lynsey Bartlett took to Twitter to say:
“Just spent a lovely hour on Eastbourne Youth Radio on the Meet the Media panel with some of my radio favourites. Amazing to meet so many young, enthusiastic future media stars in the audience!”
Eastbourne Youth Radio featured 46 sponsors, including the college. The 55 hours of broadcasting is now available via the ‘Listen Back’ tab on www.eyr.org.uk.
