ESC students are getting geared up for a week of career talks, meeting employers and universities, information stands and further sessions to explore more in-depth into the industries they want to pursue post college. It’s also a chance to find a part-time job and volunteering opportunities.
Across each campus there will be various talks from the likes of University of Brighton, University of Sussex, and University of Reading, with numerous workshops for students to take part in. This includes CV workshops run by YES (Youth Employability Service) and Careers Guidance Advisors, as well as Careers, Work Experience and Interview Tips drop-in sessions.
Eastbourne campus will host a Careers Fair which will feature information stalls from Armed Forces, 3VA Volunteering Service, Knockhatch, East Sussex County Council Social Care, Amazing Apprenticeships, University of Brighton and more.
Hastings campus will be hosting a Careers Fair at the Station Plaza campus with confirmed attendance from Rose Bruford College, Plumpton College, Bannatyne Hotel, Nationwide, Armed Forces, University of the Arts London, White Rock Theatre, Youth Employability Service, University of Brighton, Hastings Heart Charity, NHS Apprenticeships, Fire Service, East Sussex County Council Social Care and many more!
On Friday 10 March, ESC Alumni Ben Shoesmith will talk to Lewes students about why he decided to apply for an Apprenticeship with Virgin Media, the process he faced, and the opportunities he's had so far.
If you’re a student, keep an eye out for information about how you can get involved in National Careers Week via MyStudentLife.
