Students and their families travelled from across East and West Sussex, Surrey and Kent to see what the College has to offer them after school.
Students visited the Eastbourne, Station Plaza, Ore Valley, and Lewes campuses to find out about the College’s extensive range of courses including A-Levels, Construction, Hair and Beauty, Catering, Sport, Art and Design, Performing Arts and brand new T-Levels.
Not only were the students able to find out about the courses on offer, but they were able to see each campus come to life during an entertaining and interactive evening of activities.
Guests were able to take part in virtual reality gaming, organ dissection, exercise and fitness testing, hair makeovers, beauty manicures, and design and printmaking. They were also able to take a closer look at world travel destinations, meet college alumni, assess business plans, see how unpopular foods can be made tasty, and watch rehearsals for an upcoming theatre performance.
The open events encouraged students to come along, try something new and step out of the crowd, following on from the #Fearless themed school presentations during the autumn term.
Clive Cooke, CEO, East Sussex College, said, “It was really great to see so many young people and their families coming along to enjoy our open events. We’ve had lots of great feedback telling us how enjoyable and informative the evenings were and that they’ve really enjoyed talking to our experienced teaching staff and listening to our inspiring students.
Alongside our huge variety of courses we’re also able to offer our students exceptional educational trips and valuable work placements with a whole range of local and national employers.”
If you were unable to make it to any of the open events then you’ll be able to book a personal tour around any of the campuses. Please visit the website for more information and to book: http://www.escg.ac.uk/whats-on/college-tours/
