Students get hands-on with NHS careers

Year 1 T-Level Health students from East Sussex College had the opportunity to spend the day at Conquest Hospital, gaining valuable insights into the wide range of careers available within the NHS.

As part of their work experience, students met and spoke with a variety of healthcare professionals, learning about their day-to-day roles and the different pathways into these rewarding careers.

From clinical to support roles, the visit gave students a real sense of the many opportunities open to them in the healthcare sector.

The day proved to be inspiring and informative, leaving students with a clearer idea of the skills and qualifications needed to progress in the NHS and healthcare more broadly.

Ann Hedges, T-Level Health lecturer at East Sussex College, said: “I took along my Y1 T-Level students who had the opportunity to talk to various professionals from the NHS about their roles and ways into these. All had a fantastic time and took lots away from this.”
