Students visit Auschwitz

Public Uniformed Service students from East Sussex College Eastbourne visited the Poland concentration camp to mark Holocaust Memorial Day

The Level 3, year 2 students, visited Auschwitz concentration camp to mark Holocaust Memorial Day (27th January) to learn and enrich their history around equality, diversity and the uniformed services.

Robert Shoesmith, Lecturer in Sport & PUS at ESC, comments:

“Each year we take our student cohort to tour the Auschwitz concentration camp. The weather hovered between -4 and -15 for our trip, which only added to the brutal reality of the camp.”
