Megan excelled during her time at East Sussex College Hastings, having achieved a Distinction grade in the Education & Childcare T-Level. Following completion of the course and a successful work placement at Cumberland Gardens Jigsaw Nursery in Hastings in the 2021/22 academic year, Megan was offered a permanent role.
Speaking on why the Education & Childcare T-Level course appealed to her, she said, “I decided to study the Education & Childcare T-Level course as it gave me the opportunity to work with a bigger age range of children, which meant there were different career options that I could look into during and after the course.
“I am now working a full-time job in the nursery where I was doing placement - I am hoping to learn and develop new skills along the way.”
Speaking on her study experience at the College and support from her tutors, Megan said, “I enjoyed my time studying at the College, everyone was very friendly and helpful towards all the students. In the classes everybody would help eachother if we were stuck or unsure on something which was being taught.
“The tutors were amazing, you could email or talk to them and they would always offer their advice and support. They definitely helped me build confidence in achieving the skills and knowledge, but also in myself as an individual.”
