Top 5 reasons why it's never too late to EdYOUcate

September is Festival of Learning month, and this year’s theme is ‘Have A Go’.

As you can probably guess, we love learning. In fact, we believe that it is never too late to educate. Earlier this year, we launched love to learn month, where, throughout February, we put on a range of new courses and encouraged people to fall in love with learning.

We’ve been fully on board with having a go this month, and although we’re a little late to the party with this blog, we want to encourage you to use the rest of this month and the rest of the year to and have a go.

Enjoy trying something new, re-discover your hidden talents, boost your career prospects, keep your brain active, and spend time doing something for you!

Here are five reasons why you should study with us this autumn.

1. Learning is good for your wellbeing

The challenges of the last few months have been difficult for everyone. As we get back to college for a new term, we’re focusing even more on wellbeing. Starting a new course and learning something new is great for your wellbeing and mental health. Learning new skills helps to stretch your mind, keep it active, and keep it functioning well. We have courses that enable you to relax, such as painting, and courses available to help you support other people with their wellbeing, such as counselling.

2. You can gain a qualification

Lots of our part-time courses offer you the opportunity to gain qualifications. You can put these new qualifications on your CV, refer to them in a job application, or, if you’ve always dreamed of going to university, then help you make that dream a reality. Our Access to Higher Education courses provide you with a Level 3 diploma and all the required skills to start a degree.

3. You can level up your skills to progress your career

Many of our courses are geared up for helping you make that next step up the career ladder. We have online courses in management, short courses in beauty treatments, and a highly sought after qualification in Human Resource management. Make sure you stand out from the competition by improving your knowledge and skills.

4. Rediscover your confidence

Taking the time to invest in yourself can boost your self-esteem. This is your chance to do something for yourself and build your confidence. You’ll be able to meet like-minded people, whether it’s virtually, or socially distanced in person, who share your interests. Build and form friendships and embrace the opportunities that learning can bring you.

5. Unleash the entrepreneur inside of you

You may have used the last few months to think about the future and plot a new career path. Now is the time to start the ball rolling on that brilliant business idea you had, or turn your hobby into a thriving career. You can boost your business credentials with a Business degree, finally master your finances with an AAT qualification, or get pumped for starting your own Personal Training business. Whatever it is, you’ll enjoy being your own boss.
