Working as a team, the students developed a detailed event proposal that included promotional activities, social media campaigns, and audience engagement ideas – all designed to increase visibility and boost attendance for the commemorative event.
Their final presentation was delivered to a panel of industry professionals, including experts in marketing and event planning from East Sussex College. The panel praised the students’ creativity, professionalism, and understanding of real-world promotional strategy.
The project gave students the chance to apply their classroom learning to a live brief, while building the confidence, communication and planning skills that are essential in the travel, tourism and events industries.
