As students up and down the country await A Level and BTEC results this week, Access to HE students celebrated the successful completion of their course with a graduation style ceremony.
The students, who studied at the Lewes and Eastbourne campuses, part of the East Sussex College Group, have now progressed to University courses across the UK to study subjects including, Midwifery, Social Work, Psychology, Paramedic Practice and Biomedical Sciences.
Pamela Hinton, Access to HE Curriculum Quality Lead, says
“Students were extremely happy and proud to receive their diplomas to mark their successful completion of the course. These diplomas are testament to their fantastic achievements this year. Access to HE courses are widely respected by universities, because they effectively prepare students for studying at degree level.”
The course is designed for mature students, who wish to progress in their current career, or to start a new career. They are a great option for A Level students who didn’t receive the required grades for a University place. Access to HE acts as a stepping stone to their chosen career path. Sussex Downs College offers a range of Access pathways, each one designed for progression onto degree courses in specific subjects.
