You can join online events that connect you with emerging creative talent from across the UK, offering practical insight into freelance careers, transferable creative skills and navigating early careers as a neurodivergent creative.

Past speakers include a London Fashion Week Prize winner, a paper engineer working with clients such as Liberty and Fortnum & Mason, and a BBC-commissioned animator, with Q&A sessions offering direct access to advice and guidance.

Paid commissions

Creative UK offers paid opportunities to gain real-world experience, from short writing commissions promoted to a national audience to photographing key sector events throughout the year. With support from the Creative UK team, you can build professional skills alongside your studies to help you get industry ready.

Early career resources

Gain access to a dedicated portal packed with guidance and resources to support your early career. From building professional networks to staying on top of key sector developments, these tools are designed to help you navigate your first steps into industry. You’ll continue to have access to the portal for up to three years after you graduate, supporting your transition into work or further study.
